WHY COME TO CARRBROOK?
• Generous prize money including prizes for second, third, fourth sections, youth and deportment
• Carrbrook, just off the B6175, is only two miles from Stalybridge and two and three quarter miles from Saddleworth: an ideal half way house.
• The most scenic location in Tameside. The village is in a conservation area on the edge of the Pennines and sits beneath the scheduled ancient monument of Buckton Castle
• Easy access with a one way system for coaches round the village which is otherwise pedestrianised and traffic free. Congestion free departure is guaranteed
• Well organised registration and the shortest waiting time in Tameside
• Two bars: one inside our friendly club which has an efficient queuing system to minimise delay, and the other in a pleasant beer garden
• Prominent bandstand with excellent acoustics
• You can be sure of a good welcome and a large and appreciative crowd, free from the behaviour problems that beset other venues
• The First Millbrook Scouts Group provides refreshments and the St John’s Ambulance provide first aid facilities
• Prompt notification of results, adjudicators’ feedback and award of prizes
We look forward to welcoming you in true Carrbrook style and wish you every success in this year’s contests. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
